While some of<br \/> the biblical accounts are encouraging, some are filled with<br \/> unexplainable dysfunction \u2013 and these troubles still plague<br \/> modern-day families. Why are we angry? Why are there so<br \/> many single-parent homes? Why do we suffer with<br \/> addictions?<br \/> <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-rounded\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1910\" height=\"957\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mclc908.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bible-Study-152025.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8348\" style=\"width:372px;height:153px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Bible Hour<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So much of our own brokenness is rooted in our childhoods.<br \/> In a study on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs),<br \/> researchers found an alarming percentage of adults who<br \/> had grown up abused and neglected in dysfunctional homes, which has resulted in a myriad of health, mental, and family issues. Although we can\u2019t go back and mend our childhoods, we do have the ability to break the cycle of brokenness and encourage our own children and others to live better, resilient lives, with God\u2019s help.  <br \/>This small-group Bible study offers reactive solutions and brings to light information about ACEs by discussing dysfunctional similarities between families found in Genesis and today\u2019s families.
